MTG Secrets of Strixhaven Open League FAQ

A great strong start for the MTG Secrets of Strixhaven Open League. With over 14 players on the first day of the league coming and playing against other League players earning their points to win so great prizes. So there are some things that came up and people asking about that we thought we could address in a Blog post.

How much is the entry and what do they include?
Entry for the Open League is BD18 or SAR180 which includes 6x Secrets of Strixhaven Play Boosters.

How can I add packs to my deck?
There are two ways for adding more packs to your card pool,
A) The start of every new week which starts on Friday.
B) Losing 3 matches.
Once you meet any of those conditions, you can ask the store staff at the counter to purchase an additional play booster pack which he will then mark in your paper.

How many games can I play a week?
You can play any number of games as you can. However you cannot play against the same opponent more than 3 matches per week.

When does the Leaderboard get updated?
Every Friday we will be updating the Open League leaderboard. We will also be posting the Open League Leaderboard on our instagram account.

Do I get to keep the League deck with me?
Though we do trust that the community has nothing but the best intentions, we do ask the players to give the store staff the deck inside a deck box to avoid any modifications. We have these decks locked up with lock and key.

Can I use my promo packs or promo cards in the League?
No. All prizes will not be included in your deck.

How will you keep track of the weekly games?
Every Friday we will be adding a new score sheet to you existing one to keep track of the weekly games.

Any plans on doing something different for the Open League?
We actually have a store championship coming up on the 29th of May. We plan on doing a constructed event for the Open League players to join this event using their already built League Decks for a 1v1 tournament :)
